Pictured Above:  Bloody Knife, General Custer, John Noonan, and Ludlow. 

Mrs. Noonan, John’s wife, was embraced and recognized by Custer and all of his men. According to records, Mrs. Noonan was respected and shown proper courtesy from those who met her. Documents reveal that Mrs. Noonan was born biologically male, which was not kept a secret from Custer of his men.
